ABOUT ME

My name is Ripley. You can also call me Styx.I am a 29-year-old nonbinary / genderfluid freelance artist and hobbyist writer with a strong focus on queer identity, kink culture, comics, and character studies. I primarily draw digitally on an iPad Air with Clip Studio Paint, but I also dabble in traditional drawing and mediums like sculpting, embroidery, knitting, and more.————I have been creating since I was a kid in the 90s, and have been in the online art space since I was a teenager in the 2010s, so most of what I have learned has been both self-taught, and taught by fellow artists. I have been practicing my art in commission and character design sales for the past 10 years as my primary job, and currently have aspirations to return to school and learn even more!

I grew up in Western Pennsylvania just outside the Pittsburgh area, and now travel between there and Portland, Oregon where my partner lives. My bicoastal lifestyle (made possible through my freelance work) has allowed me to view the world through many different lenses, something I’ll always be very grateful for. While I don’t yet have an art degree, I hope my experience and personal perspectives show in my work.
